Maine Coons

The Maine Coon is one of the largest domestic cat breeds, recognised for its substantial bone structure, broad chest, long rectangular body and flowing tail. Its distinctive look is enhanced by large expressive eyes, prominent ears with furnishings and a long, shaggy coat that is fuller around the ruff, belly, britches and tail.

At Purrfect SG, we specialise in Russian bloodline Maine Coons, with our foundation programme centred around the Achat, Vorkun, Good Heart and Summerplace bloodlines. These are pedigrees associated with national and world champion cats, and are selected for qualities such as excellent type, substantial structure, sound bone, distinctive expression and consistency across generations. Our focus is on preserving the exceptional qualities of these Russian bloodlines while breeding Maine Coons with outstanding type, temperament and overall quality.

Despite their imposing appearance, Maine Coons are generally gentle, friendly, intelligent and sociable. They are often people-oriented and playful, with many remaining active and curious well into adulthood. The breed matures slowly, with full maturity commonly reached at around 4 to 5 years, and can have a life expectancy of 12 years or more.
